High-shaft leather boots or platform soles with deep tread. The goal is to keep the waterline below your sock: puddle splash hits the shaft, not the laces. Smooth leather sheds water better than mesh; if you wear chunky sneakers, choose ones with a tall midsole and accept that mesh panels will eventually wick.

A rainy day outfit prioritises a waterproof shell with breathable layers underneath so you do not overheat at 15 degrees.
