Acid puffer, fur flaps and white boots in fresh snow — last lift up, first line down.

A reflective shell that flashes back at the floodlight — perimeter secured.

Oversized parka, one blue signal and a visor parked on the brow — cold never looked this warm.

Sealed against the storm — ePTFE shell, six-pocket storage and boots the rain can't reach.

Ash, bone and khaki — a cloaked crossing through the dead lands.

Soft rain, hard shell — oversized waterproof volume, one blue signal, a clear face shield.
Mountain cold is managed in three layers: a wicking base, an insulating mid and a weather shell — the looks above supply the shell and statement layers that photograph as well on the terrace as they function on the lift. Insulated puffers and fleece-lined parkas hold heat, waterproof snow boots keep the melt out, and fur-flap caps plus visor shields handle the two things goggles-free days punish most: ears and eyes.
Fabric claims matter at altitude — waterproof and insulated are declarations you can verify piece by piece in the Material Index. And winter layering makes sizing critical: most pieces cut small, so check the Fit Index and size for the mid-layer underneath. For more cold-weather pieces browse jackets & outerwear.
Base layer that wicks, mid layer that insulates, shell that blocks wind and wet — plus waterproof boots, ear coverage and eye protection. On-piste, certified snow gear rules; the looks above cover the resort day, the terrace and the walk to the lift with actual style.
The overlap is real: waterproof shells, insulated puffers and snow-rated boots are techwear’s home turf. For deep powder days you still want dedicated snow pants with gaiters; for resort laps and street-to-slope days the system above holds.
Insulated, waterproof, lugged — the white snow boots above are rated for exactly this. Off-board, they beat sneakers the moment the first slush puddle appears. Riding itself of course happens in bindings-compatible snowboard boots.
Zips are your thermostat: pit zips, front zips, removable layers. The three-layer system works because you can shed the mid layer at lunch and add it back on the lift. One giant parka with nothing underneath cannot do that.
A city winter outfit optimises for wind between buildings and dry sidewalks; a snowboard outfit adds waterproofing, eye protection and boot grip for standing in snow all day. Start from the rainy day shell logic, swap rain shell for insulation, and you are 80% there.
